Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures. -Henry Ward Beecher

For me, painting is an exuberant affirmation of life. I learned to paint when I was 45 years old, and took to it like a duck to water. My work was quickly recognized in several one-man shows, and I enjoyed sharing this new medium of expression with a new audience. The colors in my paintings almost leap off the page, and every bit of canvas is covered in an effusive overflow of pigment. I painted for 2 years before making a decision to use my limited spare time for writing instead.
