Ingredients:

1 lb cooked peeled shrimp

1 lb hot cooked turkey sausage, Cajun or Italian, cut in 1/2" sections

3/4 cup red wine

2 cups frozen okra

1 cup frozen peas

1lb can peeled tomatoes, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

4 tablespoons spiced vinegar

2 onions

chopped garlic

3 tablespoons cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 cup water

 

Preparation:

Fry onions in oil until light brown. Add garlic, fry till light brown. Add wine, simmer 5 minutes.

Add vinegar, sugar, salt, tomatoes and mix. Add cornstarch, stir till mixture thickens. Add okra, peas, shrimp and sausage. Add white pepper, oregano, and thyme to taste. Heat through for 5 minutes.

Serve on a bed of rice.
